My Christmas List

Is now complete:

Time Shares

Ok, one last thing.

Time Shares. Has anyone bought one and been happy with it? Actually used it? Maybe the 1 person who reads my new blog can help with my informal survey.

One time when I hopped the freight train home from SLO to LA, one of the guys I sat next to on an inter-modular car was a former time share salesman from Cabo San Lucas.

That was a long and interesting day.

Open letter to font makers

First off, I know the "Open Letter" concept when in and out of vogue in the blogging community between the dates of July 12, 2005 and October 4, 2006. But the hour is late and the coffee is decaf and this is the best I could come up with.

All I have to say to Mr. True Type is that "COMIC SANS" MUST GO! First of all, it isn't comic, or comical. Not only is it Sans serifs, but it is sans severall other things. Like I am Sans respect for someone in a professional setting who uses this as our default font. Good lord, if you HAVE to use it, why goofy colors like pink or purple? What happened to black.

Now if you are Chinese, I don't seem to mind. For some reason when Chinese folks do stuff that makes me scream when white people do it I just give them a pass. I think that happened after reading the "Joy Luck Club."

What a great book that was. Movie was cool too.

Ionized Water? Really. This makes me want to use naughty words when describing you rubes.

What is the smiley face emoticon for shaking your head in disgust/exasperation about how lame people are?

Case in point: "Ionized Water"

I mean, haven't we come so far since 1886 when Dr. Q.L. Muttonchop came to town with his Traveling Medicine Shoppe showing his "Elixir of Youth" (dog pee pee) and "Tibetan Cure-All Bitters" (garlic oil mixed with mouse poop)?

I will refer you to this guy to describe the chemistry.

By the way, why does spelling Shop seem so much fancier when spelled Shoppe? Kind of like a subdivision that is name something or other "Pointe." You spend $50k for the extra "e."

People who buy electric heaters are generally morons

I gave up the blog thing. But for some reason I was reading about Eden Pure heaters and it reminded me how dense people are.

Now I am a heat transfer dork so thinking in BTUs is kind of like breathing. Even though, I can't help but giggle about how badly people are duped.

So...

Don't buy an Eden Pure Heater!!! Not only are they junk, their claims are totally bogus. It is not even stretching of the truth or lying by ommission. They are just wrong.

Now if this was some cheap heater, no big deal. But they are like 4 or 500 apiece.
